High Performance Computing (HPC)

The Storrs HPC facility is optimized for compute intensive workloads, such as simulation and modeling. The cluster nodes run a Linux operating system and are comprised of multiple generations of Intel Xeon-based server platforms, interconnected with a parallel file system and backed by a high-speed low-latency Infiniband fabric.
